Acceptance

These terms apply to everyone who uses Wolka on iOS or Android. By creating an account and walking with it, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app; deleting your account is always available and always immediate.

Wolka also has a privacy policy. That policy describes what is collected; these terms describe what is expected of you. Both apply.

Wolka is operated by the individual behind kiishi.space.

Wolka is not medical advice

Wolka counts steps and compares them. It does not measure, diagnose, monitor or advise on health, fitness, weight, nutrition, sleep or any medical condition, and nothing in the app or on this site is medical advice. Wolka is not a substitute for professional care. If you have a health condition and are unsure whether walking is appropriate for you, ask a qualified professional first.

Your account

• One account per person. Display names are between 1 and 30 characters; crew names are between 4 and 15 characters.
• Names are shared. Wolka stores them in lowercase and they are visible to the people you play with, and publicly once you unlock Ranked.
• Wolka uses a device account rather than a password. Your identity lives on your phone. Uninstalling Wolka without first deleting your account means losing access to it — unless you have linked a Google or Apple sign-in for recovery, in which case you can prove it is you and get back in on a new device.
• Keep Wolka installed on the device whose steps you sync. Reinstalling gives you a new identity unless you recover your existing account with a linked sign-in.
• Linking a recovery sign-in is optional and can be removed at any time from You. It is a second way to prove you are you; it does not change your name, your crews or your steps.

Steps, and what they depend on

Step totals come from your phone's own health system. Wolka does not verify them and cannot correct them. In practice that means:

• A day with no synced record is not a day with zero steps. Gaps are gaps.
• A partial day may be missing steps, because a phone battery died, permission was revoked, or the app was not open.
• Totals depend on the phone you carry. Two phones can disagree about the same walk.
• Steps sync while Wolka is open, so the last figures of the day can change after the day appears to be over. Wolka keeps late syncing open for one hour after a match ends, then settles the result.

Rank points have no value

RP is an in-app progression score. It measures how much you have walked and how much rivalry you have finished, and it exists to give the ladder a shape. Some of it comes from walking and matches, and some from achievement rewards you claim in the app.

• RP is not money, points, credit, property or anything redeemable.
• RP cannot be bought, sold, traded, transferred, cashed out or converted into anything.
• RP carries no monetary value under any circumstances, and Wolka offers no cash prize, reward, refund or compensation of any kind.
• Achievement RP follows the same rules. Claiming it in the app moves it to your rank; it is not a payment and has no value outside Wolka.
• Crew RP belongs to the crew. It does not transfer to individual members, and leaving a crew does not take any of it with you.

Matches and challenges

• A crew leader can challenge other crews. An invited crew must accept before a match starts, and at least two participants are needed.
• Rooms hold between 2 and 10 participants and run for 1 to 7 rolling 24-hour days. Nobody may join after a match has started.
• Results are provisional while late syncing is open, then settled. Wolka may adjust a settled result if a materially wrong total is reported afterwards.
• Step totals submitted to a match are trusted. Wolka has no anti-cheat and does not claim one. This is acceptable because there is nothing material to win.

How to behave

Wolka is built for people who like each other. Keep it that way.

• Do not use crew names, invite codes, your display name or challenge copy to harass, abuse, threaten, embarrass or target anyone.
• Do not post sexual, violent, hateful or unlawful content in a name, a crew or a notification.
• Do not impersonate another person or a real organisation.
• Do not attempt to disrupt the service, overload it, scrape it, or bypass its limits.
• A crew leader who misuses a crew can have that crew closed, and any account that breaks these rules can be closed.

Your name and avatar

Your name and avatar remain yours. You keep ownership, and you grant Wolka a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display them to the people you join crews with, on leaderboards you have unlocked, and on your own profile. You grant no other rights. You confirm you have the right to use any name you choose, and that it does not infringe someone else's rights.

Wolka contains no advertising, so your data is not monetised in any way.

Ending your use

You can stop at any time by deleting your account from You → Delete account in the app. See the privacy policy for exactly what is removed and the one anonymised exception that remains in completed matches.

Wolka may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where practical, you will be told why first.

No warranty

Wolka is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement. Wolka does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, that step totals will be complete or accurate, or that any total, rank, badge or result will be correct at any particular moment.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wolka and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, nor for loss of profits, data, goodwill or health, arising from your use of Wolka. Wolka's total aggregate liability to you is limited to the amount you paid to use Wolka, which is zero.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Where you live, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection your own country provides.
